Course Description

High turnover can be costly for companies. Investopedia reports the high cost of employee turnover can reach up to three times the employee's salary. Another study illustrated the negative impact on employee morale, productivity, and company culture. In some cases, high turnover affects the public perception of a company.

On the other hand, high levels of employee engagement positively affect organizations. Attendees will learn the definition of employee engagement. High levels of employee engagement foster customer loyalty and improve organizational performance and stakeholder value. The importance of an employee's manager directly impacts employee engagement. Employees are more engaged when their manager uses customized constructive feedback and a coaching or mentoring style.

Engaged employees improve business results and perform better; companies experience greater customer loyalty and satisfaction. When a manager uses a coaching or mentoring style, employees are engaged with a performance-based approach. Attendees will learn the difference between coaching and mentoring and how to use each effectively. Managers with high employee retention rates increase their "social capital" and reputation as positive leaders and role models.
